Our good friend David Gilkey has been covering the war in Afghanistan for NPR for nearly four months now. He has made some pretty amazing photographs and come under some heavy fire during his time there.

We see pictures of war so often that they all start to look the same.
NPR.org just posted a series of David's photos from wedding celebrations in Kabul. Images that show the truth about combat are necessary, but we find that the most interesting examples of war photography shows that life still goes on despite the chaos. Images of people trying live normal lives in a war zone.
